A little about Kyra Jackson as an Educator. . . Kyra Jackson holds an M. F. A in Performance Studies and Practice. Her most current position is teaching Performance Technique to NYU Tisch 1st Year students, as well as teaching their Moment Lab, and Script Analysis classes taught through Atlantic Theatre Company's Atlantic Acting School. She also often directs NYU Tisch and Conservatory students in their second year for Atlantic Acting School's One Acts. For the past several years she has served as Instructor of Introduction to Acting for majors/non majors at Arizona State University and Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Theatre classes at Hamilton College. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Hamilton College where she majored in Theater and studied Psychology and Foreign Languages. After-which, she completed her Practical Aesthetics Acting training at the Atlantic Theater Company. Her research interests include the linking of psychology and its effects on actors during theater training and practice. Her performance interests include both Theatre and Film work as well as Voice Over work in dialect or specialized voices. Kyra has presented at the Association of Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE), and has trained and performed in over four countries.
